The Vampire of Rome is coming for you, and There's a mystery to solve!

The Vampire of Rome is almost ready. A final scrub and then it's off to be formatted, then uploaded to Amazon and Smashwords. If everything goes smoothly there, it will be ready as an e-book. While this is going on I'll be getting the full cover made, that's adding the spine and back cover. One has to wait for the book to be formatted because until the book is formatted you have no idea how many pages the book will be and so do not know how big to make the whole cover or the width of the spine.

As promised Brunette Sonya pictures and one of her older, blonder sister, Veronica.

Review

EM Kaplan's Josie Tucker series, is the exception to my rule that cozy mysteries are not for me. Despite a lack of star-ships, machine-gun wielding dinosaurs, zombies, or a battle cry of “Blood for the Blood God,” I enjoyed this book, even more than the first. And yes, you can read this one as a stand alone.

Josie, a snarky food blogger who's got a sensitive stomach, travels to San Francisco on a dual mission; meet the long distance boy-friend of her BFF, and check out if his start up company is going somewhere, or is a money pit.

Said boyfriend is underwhelming, and his partner is missing. “There's a mystery to solve,” and Josie springs into action, breaking the law, getting underfoot, learning the proper way to burlesque dance from professionals, and some how, figuring out what's going on.

If you enjoy fast, well-written, often funny stories, I think you'll enjoy this series. I know I'll be reading Dead Man on Campus.

I'll tell you about it when I do.

Excellent series, just finished book three of the four books published to date. Think Dune, mixed with Trader Tales from the Golden Age of The Solar Clipper Series. So no Patrick Stewart or Mentats, nor quirky side kick, but there are space battles and cyborgs.
Mages are how ships can travel from star to star in days, instead of decades. The hero starts off working on a freighter, and things go sideways for the crew rapidly as space pirates (no not former Browncoats) working for a criminal syndicate want the Captain dead and the ship's mage for impressed labor. Very well done series so far.
Probably have a write up and review for you next week. I may also have something to say about the Stephen Attebrook Mystery Series. As this is next on the TBR list

I've enjoyed the previous five books, and I bet number six is no different.

The book trailer for Soulless Monk is in post-production, and with luck will be complete this weekend. I'll be sure to include it in next week's post.

How's that for a book trailer? Interested? Of course you are, so click on the link below and read all about the hidden evil in Providence, Rhode Island for yourself. Then find out about Brother Sebastian's other adventures. Finally there's also a freebie, a short story featuring Brother Maurice.
